Vodafone World™
Automatic network selection
When travelling overseas in countries where Vodafone has roaming agreements, the mobile will automatically register with a local network when turned on. Your mobile phone will continuously search for a signal from all the networks that Vodafone has roaming agreements with. It's important that upon returning to Australia you immediately turn on your mobile to register back into the Australian Vodafone network and avoid any further roaming costs.
Manual network selection
Go to the phone settings menu on your mobile (please refer to your manual) and under the menu usually called Network Selection you'll be prompted to make a network selection from the offered list. If the handset does not automatically select the Vodafone Preferred network then the customer should manually select it to ensure they receive the best roaming rates.
Roaming Access
Vodafone Australia customers can activate and manage Roaming, IDD and Roaming Voicemail settings online via the MyAccount section of MyVodafone. Alternatively, contact Vodafone or your Service Provider at least three business days prior to departing Australia to arrange global roaming access. If you're a customer of Vodafone Pty Ltd, you can submit your request via Contact Us. If you're already overseas and want to activate global roaming, Contact Us online or on 1555* (available in some countries) or +61414141414.
* Roaming charges apply when calling 1555 whilst overseas.
