I’m an existing Vodafone customer. Can I get a Deal?
If you are an existing Vodafone customer, you may be eligible to upgrade to one of our direct deals, early exit fees may apply, so please check. Call us on 1300 300 404 (8am to 8pm, weekdays, 9am to 5pm weekends) if you’re unsure, or select the deal you want and proceed through the checkout.
How do I check coverage in my area?
One in every four mobile users on the planet is connected with Vodafone. That’s a lot of mobiles and a lot of mobile experience. The Vodafone 3G network covers 94% of Australian population with national roaming activated. Our 2G network also covers more than 94% of the population. More importantly though, our quality of coverage stands out and keeps getting better.
3G Services are available within 3G coverage areas. A compatible 3G capable handset is required. In metropolitan and some regional areas, Vodafone's 3G network operates on UMTS 2100Mhz. In smaller regional areas with Vodafone coverage, Vodafone's 3G network operates on UMTS 900Mhz
All 3G 900Mhz devices available from Vodafone are 2100Mhz compatible. However, not all 2100Mhz devices are 900Mhz compatible. Customers with 2100Mhz devices that are not 900Mhz compatible will experience GPRS coverage (or Edge, where available) in Vodafone’s 3G 900Mhz. See www.vodafone.com.au/coverage for details.

Do I need a new SIM?
To make sure you can take advantage of all our latest features and capabilities, we recommend you do activate your new SIM with your new phone. However, if you are already a Vodafone customer, you can still use your existing Vodafone SIM in your new phone. Simply transfer the SIM from your old phone to the new one.
