Network Info and Barring
Can I stop specific people from calling my mobile phone?
We are unable to bar certain people or phone numbers from calling you. You can place an incoming bar, however this bar will restrict all incoming calls and txt. Alternatively your handset may support this function, please consult your userguide for more.
Will call barring remain if I obtain a new SIM card?
It depends on the type of barring as there are two separate types. If you have barred the mobile handset (IMEI barring), the bar will remain until you request it to be lifted. If you have barred the SIM card, this bar will be lifted when your new SIM is activated.
Barring incoming calls
You can bar (i.e. stop) all incoming calls via your handset only:
Via your mobile
Before CALLbarring can be activated from your mobile, you need to enter ##004# send to remove any diversions.
To bar incoming calls and TXT Switch on your mobile and enter: *35* [your CALLbarring password] # [send]
To bar incoming calls but not incoming TXT (This bar will only work if entered after the above call and TXT bar sequence) Switch on your mobile and enter: #35* [your CALLbarring password] * 16 #[send]
Note: Your call barring password is either 0000 or 1234 unless you have requested it be changed
Network Info and Your Mobile:
Will my mobile number appear if I have Outgoing Caller ID turned off?
If you have Caller ID turned off (in both the settings of your Vodafone account and mobile handset) your mobile number will appear as a private or unknown number (depending on the type of mobile) on the screen of the other person's phone. However, any TXT sent from your mobile will always appear with your number regardless of the status of Caller ID.
What's an IMEI number and how do I find out my mobile's IMEI number?
The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number is a unique number that identifies your mobile. This number is useful if your mobile is locked to the Vodafone network and you want it unlocked or if you need to request your mobile to be blocked in the event that it is lost or stolen.
To view your mobile's IMEI switch on your mobile and enter *#06#.
Network Info and Technical questions: Can I have two numbers on one SIM?
