Device Unlocking Fees

Answer

Unlocking fees apply to certain devices, called “hard-locked” devices. You can see whether your device is hard-locked by checking the device box, or by visiting vodafone.com.au/unlock or calling 1555 and quoting your IMEI number.

If your device is hard-locked, a basic fee of $50 will apply to unlock it at any time, reduced to $25 when you unlock your device at vodafone.com.au/unlock

An additional fee of $50 will apply if you want to unlock your device within six month of purchase:

  • Example 1 – If you want to unlock your device within the first six months of purchase via the Vodafone website you’ll be charged a total of $75.
  • Example 2 – If you want to unlock your device within the first six months of purchase via Customer Care, you’ll be charged a total of $100.

Payment Method
You can pay the unlocking fee using your Visa, Amex, Diners or MasterCard credit card.
