How to activate global roaming with Vodafone Traveller™ or Vodafone World™

For postpaid customers, you can opt-in to Vodafone Traveller by1:

Register and/or login to My Vodafone then My Account where you will be able to perform the below:

  • Activate/Deactivate and View Global Roaming Settings
  • Opt-in and Opt-out of Traveller (Postpaid customers)
  • Activate/Deactivate and View Roaming Voicemail settings

  • Contact Customer care on 1555 from a Vodafone mobile2 or 1300 650 410 from another line3. If calling from overseas call our roaming support line on +61414 14 14 14*.
  • Go to My Account within My Vodafone

Prepaid customers have Vodafone Traveller™ enabled by default - there's no need to opt-in. Vodafone Traveller™ is an opt-in roaming service that covers four geographic zones. Traveller offers one price for all calls made per zone and one price to receive calls globally.

You can also check your roaming status by logging into My Vodafone and click on Manage Roaming Settings.

For Vodafone World™:

Firstly check if you have global roaming with Vodafone World™ activated by logging into My Vodafone and click on Manage Roaming Settings.

Go to My Account to perform the below:

  • Activate/Deactivate and View IDD settings
  • Activate/Deactivate and View Global Roaming settings
  • Opt-in and Opt-out of Traveller (Postpaid customers)
  • Activate/Deactivate and View Roaming Voicemail settings

Roaming checklist:

  • Ensure you activate global roaming at least three business days prior to leaving Australia
  • Ensure you have a compatible handset for the country you are travelling to. Click here for roaming information
  • Ensure you have a power adaptor for the country you are visiting

When you arrive back home turn your mobile on and you'll instantly be switched back to your normal rates.
