How do Vodafone World™ and Vodafone Traveller™ work and how are they charged?

Vodafone Traveller
Vodafone Traveller is an opt-in roaming service for Month to Month and Contract Customers* and the default roaming service for Prepay Customers. It covers four geographic zones. Traveller offers one price for all calls made per zone and one price to receive calls globally.

Vodafone World™
Vodafone World™ is the default roaming service for Month to Month and Contract Customers only. There are no additional access fees or monthly charges when you travel with Vodafone World™.
Details of all the calls made will appear on your bill as normal. Please be aware that you are also billed for incoming calls when you roam. Your caller pays what they normally pay, while you pay the additional charge to send the call overseas. We've simplified our roaming charges by organising the world into five zones.
Each roaming zone comprises of various countries with flat rates across each zone (where available). One rate for Vodafone preferred networks and one for non Vodafone networks.
How do I take advantage of Vodafone preferred network rates?
When you use a Vodafone preferred network you'll receive lower rates on standard calls made within that country and back to Australia. Look up the country you're visiting at www.vodafone.com.au and find out which zone it falls into.
View the list of preferred networks for that country and refer to the call charges to find out what you'll pay. When you arrive at your destination, switch on your mobile and select the preferred network by going into the Settings > Network Settings menu of your mobile.
Prepaid customers
