Vodafone World™

Vodafone World™ is the Vodafone default roaming service for Month to Month and Contract customers only. You can make and receive calls, use data, use your voicemail and send and receive TXT messages in most countries.

In many countries you can also use data based services such as Vodafone Mobile Internet/Broadband, Mobile Email, and Vodafone live! If you have a Blackberry or Mobile Broadband Contract, you can also send and receive email and access the web. Roaming charges apply.

Vodafone live! and 3G services are subject to network availability and individual handset capabilities. Some Vodafone services may not be available whilst roaming in some countries.

The Vodafone World™ roaming charges are organised into five zones. Each roaming zone comprises various countries with flat rates across each zone (where available). One rate for Vodafone preferred networks and one for non Vodafone networks.

Vodafone has roaming agreements with over 270 networks around the world and we're constantly signing more.

Vodafone Traveller

Vodafone Traveller is an opt-in roaming service that covers four geographic zones. Traveller offers one price for all calls made per zone and one price to receive calls globally. Please check the International Roaming section of the Vodafone website for more information on availabililty.

Month to Month and Contract customers please note:

Only the standard rate you pay at home is covered by the Month to Month or Contract cap. The roaming zone charge is not covered by the Month to Month or Contract cap and will be charged on top of your Cap.

Free calls to customer care when roaming for business customers

Prepaid customers please note:

All roaming costs will be charged against a Prepaid customer's flexible credit. Free calls to 1511 and 1512 whilst roaming.

Our rates are as follows:

  • To make a call – Customers are charged the standard call rate paid at home according to their plan, plus the zone charge according to the zone
  • To receive a call – Month to Month, Contract, Business and Prepaid Flexi Cap, TXT & Talk or 365 day customers are charged one rate regardless of zone
  • To send a TXT – Customer is charged one rate regardless of zone

You can choose from the below to opt into Vodafone Traveller*:

  • TXT 129872 (from home or roaming)
  • Contact Customer care (from home or roaming)
  • Go to My Vodafone then My Account where you will be able to perform the below:

  • 1. Activate/Deactivate and View Global Roaming settings
    2. Opt-in and Opt-out of Traveller (Month-to-Month and Contract)
    3. Activate/Deactivate and View Roaming Voicemail settings
  • Visit a Vodafone store

*Business customers are unable to use self service options to opt-in. If you are a Business customer with an Account Manager or Account Administrator, please contact them for assistance with choosing VF Traveller.
