If you're roaming overseas and unable to make or receive calls, please check and action the following:

Check that you have activated global roaming with Vodafone Traveller ™ (for Prepaid Customers this is available by default and optional for Postpaid Customers) or Vodafone World™ (available by default to Postpaid Customers only).

For Postpaid Customers, you can choose from the below to opt into Vodafone Traveller™1:

TXT 129872 (from home or roaming)

Contact Customer care (on 1555 from your Vodafone mobile2 from home or roaming support on +61414 14 14 143 from overseas)

If you are already registered for My Vodafone then login to My Account and click on Manage Roaming Settings where you will be able to perform the below:

  • Activate/Deactivate and View Global Roaming settings
  • Opt-in and Opt-out of Traveller (postpaid customers)
  • Activate/Deactivate and View Roaming Voicemail settings

Useful Tips

Whilst overseas, people in Australia can contact you by dialling your mobile number in the usual format that they would if you were at home.

If someone in the same or another overseas country wants to contact you, they need to dial the international exit code of their country, the Australian country code of 61 and then your mobile number minus the first ‘0’.

1Business customers are unable to use self service options to opt-in. If you are a Business customer with an Account Manager or Account Administrator, please contact them for assistance with choosing Vodafone Traveller™

2Calling 1555 Vodafone Customer Care from Australia - free call for all customers except those on Vodafone SIM only Caps, and $19 and $29 Vodafone Cap Contracts and some Closed Plans, where a flat fee of $2.50 is charged (excluding calls made by disadvantaged customers and enquiries relating to bills, charging and billing services). Flat fee may be charged out of your Included Cap Value. Or call 1300 650 410 (standard call charges apply within Australia).

3Roaming charges apply. Consult your roaming plan for more information. Click here for information on International Roaming.

41555 short code (dialled from your mobile) may not be available in all countries overseas. As an alternative, dial +61414 14 14 14
